ATTENTION: This course is for Total Evacuation Buildings ONLY.

Please check a Fire Action Notice in your area if you are unsure which type of building you are occupying.
Alternatively, please email the Course Coordinator (Brian Ji) for clarification.

Kia ora! As part of government Evacuation Scheme Regulations, Te Toka Tumai Auckland is obliged to conduct regular fire drills and provide theory training for building occupants.

This training should take around 30 minutes to complete and will conclude with a quick debrief with staff involved. We expect building occupants to respond to the alarm in the manner described in the Emergency Preparedness & Response Manual (EPARM) and the Warden Action Cards. Please remember that while these drills audit the general competence of staff, they also check that the evacuation procedures and resources are fit for purpose. Individuals will not be singled out. If the need for remedial training is revealed it will be arranged with the relevant department supervisors.
