This course is designed to provide Nurses and Midwives with some basic information around care of a patient with a PICC line.
Many medications in Paediatric Intensive Care are given as infusions. These medications have a narrow therapeutic range and the dose is calculated based on the child's weight. This medication module, aims to ensure that nurses working in PICU are competent in medication calculation.
Successful completion of this course (all topics) is mandatory training for the Ophthalmology department staff. The Pilocarpine 2% Standing Order applies to all nursing staff working in the Ophthalmology clinic, ward and theatre and Allied Health: Ophthalmic technicians and Orthoptists.
